Po extrémně dlouhé době, jsou to asi dva roky, se hlásím zpět. Je doba kovidu, což pravděpodobně většina zaznamenala... Všechno se mění, a už vše trvá nějak dlouho. Já se rozhodla pro nějakou svou psychickou pohodu, se vrátit alespoň částečně k blogu. Jen tak pro radost a relax, když budu mít chuť, něco si sem napíšu a jen tak odložím. Doufám, že si článek užijete, a jestli jste ještě nečetli první část, tak na ni můžete určitě kouknout, abyste byli v obraze.
After an extremely long time, it has been almost two years, I am back. It is the covid age (if I may call it like that), but I think most of you have noticed... Everything is changing and sometimes, it makes me feel depressed, therefore I have decided to start posting some articles about my experiences and trips I was on just for my personal calmness in my soul and to fill my free time even though I am finishing school this year and i should be studing..
V úterý ráno jsem vstala v 7 a připravila jsem se na svůj úplně první den v práci. Byla jsem trochu nervózní. Cestou double-deckrem, která trvala kvůli zasekané dopravě 2 hodiny, jsem pozorovala ty krásný anglický domečky, a pomalu jsem přestával být tolik nervózní, trochu mi to všechno připomínalo Harryho Pottera.
I woke up at 7 on Tuesday morning and prepared for my first day at work. I was a bit nervous. During the way by a double-decker, which took 2 hours, I was observing these beautiful British houses and slowly I was getting less nervous. It remained me streets from Harry Potter film.
Přijela jsem na ulici Burnt Oak Broadway, kde byla moje firma. Přivítal mě starší vietnamský pán, s ním bylo vždy sranda si povídat, protože jeho přízvuk vietnamské angličtiny byl velmi jasný, a většinou jsem mu nerozuměla ani když se mě ptal na to, jak se mám. O pár minut později přišel i můj supervaisor, který mi ukázal firmu a řekl mi, co budu dělat. První den jsem v práci nic moc nedělala, spíš jsem se se vším seznamovala, a jenom si povídala s ostatními zaměstnanci firmy. Všichni na mě byli moc milý, a snažili se mi práci vždycky zpříjemnit. Fajn bylo, že většina zaměstnanců nebyli rodilý Britové, ale byly například z Polska, Itálie, Maroka nebo i Indie. Dali mi i nějaké tipy na místa v Londýně, které stojí za navštívení. Měla jsem obrovské štěstí na firmu a hlavně na ty lidi tam, protože mě pouštěli vždycky dříve, a já tak mohla objevovat Londýn, ostatní studenti většinou museli v práci být o hodně déle než já.
Burnt Oak Broadway was the name of the street where my company was situated. The elderly Vietnamese man welcomed me, it was always fun to talk to him because he had a very strong Vietnamese accent and I didn't understand him even when he asked me, how am I. My supervisor came after few and he showed me the rest of the building and also told me what am I suppose to do during folowing two weeks. First day was great, I met the other empoyees of the company and got know the running of the business. Everyone was so nice to me and they tried to help me with anything I needed to make me feel more comfortable and sure about stuff. Majority of employees was not originally British, they came, for instance, from Poland, Italy, Maroco or even from India. They also gave me some tips for interesting places in London which are worthy. I was the lucky one since my superviasor let me often go a bit earlier, so I could explore the city center. Unfortunately, other students didn't have that luck they stayed at work longer so I was left to explore by my own.
Moje první zastávka na samostatném objevování Londýna bylo National History Museum. Nejznámější muzeum v Londýně. Určitě ho znáte, je tam taková ta kostra velryby přes půl stropu. Reálně jsem si připadala jako v nějakém filmu. Postupně jsem si prošla celé muzeum, pomalu a v klidu, neskutečně jsem si užívala ten pocit s svobody, když se teď nad tím zpětně zamýšlím.
My first stop exploring London was the National History Museum. The most known museum in London. I suppose you know it, maybe the huge skeleton of whale remains you that. Seriously, I felt like in some film. I came through the whole museum room by room, I enjoyed the feeling of freedom when I am looking back now.
Celé odpoledne jsem si jen tak procházela ulice Londýna neskutečně obdivovala všechny budovy a uličky s kavárnami. Den jsem zakončila limonádou v kavárně, a jela jsem metrem zpátky domů.
I have been walking through London street for the whole afternoon and admire the buildings and cafes. My day was ended with lemonade in some cafe and I went back home by underground.
Co bych ještě ráda zmínila je britská strava. Nevím, jestli jste někdy byli třeba na výletě v Anglii a bydleli jste u nějaké host family. Naše host mum teda nebyla úplně velká kuchařka. Vlastně jsme celé dva týdny jedly to samé. Těstoviny nebo rýži s omáčkou, vrcholem kulinářství ovšem byla tortilla, kterou nám udělala poslední den. Proto jsme si musely kupovat svoje jídlo, abychom celé dva týdny nejedly jen toustový chleba a schovávaly jsme si ho za okno, protože jsme se bály té naší host mum, že by nám vynadala. Přijde mi to teď zpětně dost úsměvné.
The one thing I would like to mention is British cuisine. I don't know if you ever were in England and you stayed with a host family. Our host mum wasn't a master chef. Actually, we ate only two types of meals for the whole two weeks. Pasta or rice with some sauce, the top of her cooking skills were tortillas which she made us the last evening. Therefore, we had to buy our own food to eat something healthier than white bread and we hid it behind the window in our bedroom because we were scared that she will be angry. It quite smiling backward.
V sobotu ráno jsem se všichni studenti a profesorky sešli pod Big Benem, který byl tedy bohužel v rekonstrukci, takže jsem ho pořádně neviděla, a šli jsem na naši první zastávku prohlídky centra Londýna. Nikdy by mě nenapadlo, že se někdy podívám do britského parlamentu. Byl to opravdu zajímavý zážitek vidět na živo ten vnitřek, který normálně vidíte jen v televizi. Uvnitř se nesmělo fotit, takže fotku bohužel nemám.
All of us students and teachers met on Saturday morning under Big Ben, it was in reconstruction so we didn't see much of it. Then we went to the first stop on our sightseeing list in the center of London. I have never thought I would ever visit the British Parlament. It was a very uncommon experience to see it live not only on TV. Taking pictures was forbidden so unfortunately, I don't have any.

No a v neposlední řadě i návštěva muzea voskových figurín Madame Tussaud.
And last but not least visit in the Museum Madame Tussaud.
In the afternoon we visited a typical London pub and tasted Guinness. If you ever tried it, would it taste like cappuccino? When we got home very late with my classmate and we almost missed our stop, because traveling by London underground at night when you are tired is not a really good idea... In front of the entrance door, we had to deal with the fact that we had forgotten our keys in the house. Our host mum wouldn't be happy if she found out about it. Thankfully the next girl, living with us, was home and she came to open us. I just jumped into the bed, totally exhausted, and fell asleep.
